About Coil & Ground

Coil & Ground is an independent review site covering one question in depth: Best Metal Detectors for Beginners. We currently track 10 options and re-score them as prices, specs and availability change.

We are reader-funded. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them. That never changes a score or a position - the ranking is set before any link is added, and our testing methodology is published in full.

Every review is written and scored by our editorial team rather than produced in bulk.

The affiliate relationships above, and the rules for using the site, are set out in full in our terms of use.
